Create An Altar For The Most Important Woman In Your Life


May is the month we celebrate Mother's Day, and countries worldwide honor the hardest working person on Earth. In some cultures, residents follow their traditional chosen day for Mothers as well as adopting our date. The second Sunday in May was designated for the United States on May 9, 1914 by then President Woodrow Wilson.

While many of you are planning to attend religious services and/or take Mom out to lunch or dinner, go shopping with her, or maybe just send some flowers and a card, there are those, like myself, whose Mother has passed to their Heavenly Home. Despite being a Mother of five myself, and a grandmother of nine, I miss having my Mom to call when I need to rant about the rising cost of groceries or ask how to get a stain out of something that seems destined for the rag bag. 

Here is a simple yet touching way to honor that woman who gave you birth.

INGREDIENTS:
  1 White glass 7-day Novena type candle
  White kerchief or crochet lace doily
  Blessing or Healing Oil
  Small saucer
  Rose or Carnation in a bud vase
  Photograph or image of your Mother

Clean the candle cylinder and top of wax with lemon juice or alcohol, and let dry completely. Choose a small table or fireplace mantle for your setup. Place a white kerchief or crochet lace doily with the photograph and bud vase with flower on it.

Take the white candle and pour a few drops of oil into the top of the candle, rubbing or swirling it clockwise to send the healing or blessing out. Place the candle on a saucer atop the doily. Light and pray Psalm 23 or recite a Hail Mary. Let it burn until done. You can take this a step further and leave a slice of cake or other sweet, a cup of black coffee, a small glass of sherry or rum, and other items that remind you of Mom.

Protection and Deliverance From Lady Muse
 
It is that time of year already, to get rid of old junk and clutter and deep clean our surroundings. As we were taught mundane cleaning techniques by our elders, there is an additional step gifted to us that is essential to our spiritual survival. Keeping our Inner self strong requires ritual cleansing of ourselves in addition to our living and working areas. Here is a Spring-Cleaning ritual to get the job done! Enjoy!

Items Needed:
Psalms 59:1-2 for Deliverance
Psalms 91 for Protection
HSE Cleansing/Uncrossing Herb Mix
HSE Cleansing/Uncrossing Oil
Mama Vergi’s Cleansing/Uncrossing Spray
House Cleaning Solution with Lemon (Pine Sol, Clorox, Lucky Mojo Chinese Wash)
Two White Tealights
Incense Brazier
Charcoal Disk
HSE Cleansing/Uncrossing Incense
HSE Inferno Protection Incense
Bay Leaves

Instructions:
Open your windows and closet doors. Dress your tealights with 3 drops of your Cleansing/ Uncrossing Oil, saying your Psalm of Deliverance. Place your dressed tealights by your front door, one on the left, one on the right. Light them.

Light your HSE Cleansing/Uncrossing Incense in the brazier. Starting from the back, go through every room in the house, paying close attention to closets and cabinets. Next, place your incense brazier in a safe place as it continues to burn while you are cleaning.

Take one tsp of your Cleansing/Uncrossing Herbal mixture and simmer on the stove to make a tea. Pour your simmered tea inside of your mop water and a few drops into your cleaning spray solution.

Sprinkle a pinch of the herbal mixture on floor that is non-carpeted and let sit. Mist carpets with Mama Vergi's Cleansing/Uncrossing Spray and let sit.

Start cleaning from the back of the house and work your way to the front. If you have a two-story home start from the farthest room upstairs and work your way down stairs and then out the front door. Wipe windowsills, doorways, door knobs, and threshholds. Wipe down all counters with your lemon cleaning solution mixed with nine drops of the Cleansing/Uncrossing tea. 

Sweep up the herb mixture and mop your floors. Vacuum all carpets. Light your HSE Inferno Protection Incense while reading your Psalm of Protection.

Place three Bay Leaves in each corner of the House.

The second Mercury Retrograde of 2022 occurs on May 11, 2022, and stations in the astrological sign of Gemini, the Twins. For this particular retrograde time, Mercury is considered in its "home" planetary setting of the astrological signs of Gemini and Virgo. Both of these signs may very well experience big communication and connection problems with their loved ones and family.

Mercury, the planet of communication and guiding planet of those whose birthdays fall in the time of Gemini, the Twins, and Virgo, the Maiden, is comfortably "at home" in these signs -- meaning that the events and actions that occur between May 11th and June 2nd will be explicit, direct, and brutally honest. It is strongly suggested that you choose your words with the definite understanding that everything you speak may have lasting impact.

This planetary event may be difficult for Geminis, who like to co-mingle with others and exchange ideas and conversation with a wide variety of humans. During this time, the messages that are sent and received may be a little off, so make sure you are gentle with comments on views that are not your own. For Virgo, the issues that have been brewing at home might come "to a head" -- and some major decisions might have to be made that have been tempered or even ignored in the past. It is now that the "elephant in the room" needs to be discussed.

This Mercury retrograde finishes out on June 2nd with a regression into the sign of Taurus, the Bull. These individuals also need to watch their tempers during those last few days and not go charging off wildly over something small and insignificant. Tread lightly and don't act like a bull in a china shop, and you just might be able to keep the peace.

The next Mercury retrograde will occur on September 9, 2022.
